    When the money shows in your bank app, reply PAID and the booking code. The receipt goes out and the booking is marked paid.

Why not automatic confirmation?
A plain UPI link has no way to tell us the payment succeeded, so you confirm it. Razorpay or Cashfree confirm automatically, at about 2 percent.
