Message templates

The WhatsApp templates we set up for every business.

9 real templates in six Indian languages, with the buttons and the reasoning behind each. No email gate. Copy them freely.

{{1}}, {{2}} and {{3}} are Meta's blanks: the customer's name, your business name, a date or an amount, filled in when each message is sent. Meta reviews every template before it can be used, and the category decides the price.

Welcome and opt-in

welcome_optin

The first message a new contact gets. It asks for permission with a button, which is what India's DPDP Act and Meta's rules both want, and it tells people how to stop. The yes is recorded with the date and used for every campaign later.

For: Every business

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = Ascent Academy

Hi {{1}}, thanks for sharing your number with {{2}}. May we send you booking confirmations, reminders and updates here on WhatsApp? You can stop any time by replying STOP.

Booking confirmed

booking_confirmed

Sent when the owner taps Confirm on the booking alert, which may be hours after the customer wrote, so it needs to be a template. The day and time are written out in words so there is no confusion about dates.

For: Clinics, Salons, Coaching, Gyms

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = Ascent Academy, {{3}} = Sat, 25 Oct, 5:00 PM

Use this with Dunnflow

Good news, {{1}}. Your booking at {{2}} is confirmed for {{3}}. We will remind you before. Reply RESCHEDULE if anything changes.

Reminder, the day before

appointment_reminder_24h

The reminder that cuts no-shows. It ends with a question, and the two buttons make answering a one-tap job. Confirm marks the slot safe; Reschedule starts a short conversation that moves the booking. For a coaching institute the same template says 'free demo class' instead of 'appointment'.

For: Clinics, Salons, Coaching, Home services

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = Sat, 25 Oct, 5:00 PM

Use this with Dunnflow

Hi {{1}}, a reminder of your appointment tomorrow, {{2}}. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Will you be coming?

Reminder, two hours before

appointment_reminder_2h

Short, no buttons, no question. By now the person has confirmed; this one just gets them out of the door on time.

For: Clinics, Salons, Gyms

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = Sat, 25 Oct, 5:00 PM

Hi {{1}}, your appointment is in about 2 hours, {{2}}. See you soon.

Payment receipt

payment_receipt

Sent automatically the moment the payment provider reports the money. The reference is the provider's own ID, so both sides can trace it. Nothing promotional, so it stays a cheap utility message.

For: Every business

Example: {{1}} = ₹2,000, {{2}} = Seat booking advance, {{3}} = pay_Ns7Kq2R1

Use this with Dunnflow

Payment received. Amount: {{1}} for {{2}}. Reference: {{3}}. Thank you. Keep this message as your receipt.

Fee reminder

fee_reminder

A reminder about money the customer already owes, so it is utility, not marketing. 'Reply PAY' opens a 24-hour window in which the assistant can send the actual link. 'Ignore if already paid' avoids the one message that annoys people most.

For: Coaching, Schools, Gyms

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = ₹25,000, {{3}} = 5 Nov

Use this with Dunnflow

Hi {{1}}, a reminder that your fee instalment of {{2}} is due on {{3}}. Reply PAY for the payment link, or ignore this if already paid.

Feedback request

feedback_request

Sent the evening after a visit marked as attended. Meta classes feedback requests as marketing, so it only goes to people who opted in. A tap on Great is followed by a link to leave a public review; a tap on Poor goes straight to the owner.

For: Clinics, Salons, Restaurants

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = Ascent Academy

Use this with Dunnflow

Hi {{1}}, thank you for visiting {{2}} today. How was your experience? One tap is enough, and it helps us improve.

New batch or new service announcement

new_batch_announcement

A campaign message, written for a coaching institute here; a salon says 'new service', a store says 'new arrivals'. One concrete fact, one reason, one button that leads to a booking, and a Not now button so nobody has to block you to say no.

For: Coaching, Gyms, Schools

Example: {{1}} = Priya, {{2}} = NEET 2-year, {{3}} = 1 Dec

Use this with Dunnflow

Hi {{1}}, a new {{2}} batch starts on {{3}}. Small batches of 30, weekly tests and a personal mentor. Reply DEMO for a free demo class before you decide.

Recall for a check-up

recall_checkup

Sent automatically a set number of days after the last visit, only to people who opted in. Written for a dental clinic; a salon uses it for a haircut at three weeks, a service centre for the next service. It is the campaign that brings old customers back without a phone call.

For: Clinics, Salons

Example: {{1}} = Priya

Use this with Dunnflow

Hi {{1}}, it has been about six months since your last visit. A routine check-up and cleaning now helps avoid bigger treatment later. Reply BOOK to pick a time that suits you.

The rules that make any template pass

Pick the honest category. A reminder, receipt or fee notice is utility. Anything that promotes is marketing. Meta reclassifies templates whose wording does not match, which changes the price and can delay approval.

One purpose, one language. Say one thing, in one language per template. Submit each language version separately, as we do, and the assistant picks the right one for each customer.

Give a way out. A Not now button on every promotional message, and STOP honoured instantly. It keeps your quality rating green and it is what the DPDP Act expects.

Write dates in words. “Sat, 25 Oct, 5:00 PM” cannot be misread. “25/10” can.

Never remind about something already done. The assistant cancels reminders when a booking is cancelled and skips fee reminders once the fee is paid. A reminder after the fact is the fastest way to lose trust.

Want to check your own? Paste it into the free template checker.

Or never copy and paste these at all.

Dunnflow submits this library on your account during setup, adjusts the wording to your business, and sends each one at the right moment. You approve every word first.
