Business owners often ask for the green tick first. It helps to separate three things that sound alike: business verification, the verified business name, and the badge next to the name.
Business verification
Meta checks that your business is real, using a document such as an Udyam or GST certificate. This is required before your number can message customers at any volume. We do it with you during setup. It is free.
Your verified business name
Once verified, the name you chose, for example Smile Dental, is reviewed by Meta and shown to customers on your number. This is what customers see in every chat, and it is what builds trust day to day.
The badge
The badge next to a name is decided by Meta. It is given to well-known brands, or through Meta's paid Meta Verified subscription where it is available. Nobody can promise it to you, and any provider who sells a guaranteed badge is not being honest. Most customers never look for it; they look for a business name instead of a bare number, and fast, useful replies.
