How reminders with a Confirm button cut no-shows

Why people miss appointments, what a reminder must contain, and the timing that works.

Updated 26 October 2026 · 5 min read

Most people who miss an appointment or a demo class did not decide to skip it. They forgot, the time clashed with something, or they were unsure whether the booking was real. A reminder that arrives at the right time, on WhatsApp, with a way to confirm or change, removes all three reasons.

Two reminders, not one

The day before, in the evening, so the person can plan. Then two hours before, so they leave on time. The first one carries Confirm and Reschedule buttons. A tap on Confirm tells you the slot is safe. A tap on Reschedule opens a conversation where the assistant takes a new time. Silence after both reminders is itself a signal: the owner sees it in the evening summary and can call.

What a reminder must contain

The name of the business, the day and the time written out in words, where to come or which link to join, and the two buttons. Nothing promotional. Keep it short enough to read on a lock screen.

What happens with a reschedule

The assistant asks for a new day and time in plain words, such as 'Saturday 11 am', checks it, moves the booking and schedules the reminders again. The owner gets a note. No phone calls, no back and forth.

What to expect

Every business is different, so we do not promise a percentage. What we do is show the owner the numbers: bookings, confirmations, attended, no-show, in the daily summary and the monthly report. After a month the owner sees the before and after on their own data, which is the only number that matters.
