India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: the law on consent, purpose and deletion for personal data.
The Act sets out what a business may do with personal data such as phone numbers and messages. In short: use data for the purpose it was given, get clear consent for anything else such as marketing, let people withdraw consent and ask for deletion, and keep data safe.
