Marketing message
A template that promotes something: an offer, a new batch, a recall. Charged per message, and sent only with the customer's consent.
Marketing is the template category for promotions. Meta charges for it per message plus GST, and it may only be sent to people who have agreed to receive promotional messages from the business.
Sending marketing messages to people who did not ask for them leads to blocks and reports, which lower the number's quality rating and can pause sending.
Why it matters
Used well, it is the cheapest advertising a business has. Used carelessly, it damages the number.
