Business verification
Meta's one-time check that a business exists, done with an Udyam or GST certificate.
Before a number can message real customers, Meta checks the business's legal name and address against a government document. In India an Udyam (MSME) certificate or a GST certificate works.
Approval is free and usually within a day. The most common rejection reason is a name or address that does not match the document exactly.
Why it matters
It is the gate between a restricted account and a working one.
